Then pay off your credit card balance. This can be a little uncomfortable and dangerous. Second, you will get off the ship with thousands of dollars in your pocket. First is you need enough available credit on your credit card to charge a lot of money against it. Someone else who has been on a cruise recently and tried this can add to this posting. Again, I don't think that anything has changed in the last 2 years, but I can't be sure. It gets added to your cabin bill and not as a cash advance. You can go to the casino cashier, get the advance (maybe in 2 or 3 trips if it makes you feel more comfortable) and never even gamble! Come back later and cash in the chips. You don't even really have to gamble the chips. The major cruise lines allow you to charge up $2,000 per day to your cabin. I am not sure this still is the case, but I think it is. I haven't been on a cruise in a couple of years, but I have been on many in the past decade. I posted this before, but I kind of enjoy talking about it. ![]()
